Sacrament of Confirmation, 10 June, 2012: On Sunday, 10 June, eight young people from our community will be confirmed by Archabbot Jeremias Schröder, St. Ottlien Abbey. That Sunday Mass will be in the Aula. If you are not familiar with the entrance to the Aula, there will be young people to guide you. The street party, Corso Leopold, will also be running that weekend. Ludwig/Leopoldstrasse will be blocked off to traffic from Odeonsplatz to Münchener Freiheit. It is recommended that you plan to take public transportation. The U3 and U6 both stop at Universität.
Lenten Retreat 2013 Next year there will be a Lenten Retreat on the weekend of 8-10 March, 2013, at St. Ottilien Abbey. It will be led by Father Otto. The Abbey will list it in their schedule as an English-language retreat. We need to reserve rooms now for next Spring as the retreat house fills up very quickly. Approximately twenty people have already expressed their interest. If you think you might wish to attend, please e-mail info@stjohnberchmans.de in the near future. It will be easier to cancel a room that to book an extra one.
Missionaries of Charity: We collect nonperishiable food items for Mother Teresa's nuns' soup kitchen. They especially need coffee, coffee creamer, spices and condiments which they can use to flavor stews and casseroles. Any nonperishable items such as rice, noodles, canned vegetables are also welcome.
Circle of Prayer A reminder that wherever we are Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. we join together in a circle of prayer to lift up to God members of our community, our friends and relatives living with chronic illnesses or difficult life situations. Please join us.
